Job Description:

Our Java Web UI Developer will play the leading role in connecting our business logic to our web UI. They will develop web applications for all aspects of payment processing in the ever expanding field of e-commerce. The growing list of payment methods processed by the ecommerce industry currently includes credit cards, electronic checks, Bill Me Later, PayPal, and Google Checkout.

As a key member of our software development team you will:

• Be THE go-to person for server-side web application development expertise.
• Design and develop internal and externally facing web applications.
• Work with our web designers to create the next generation of our UI.
• Use your knowledge of existing server-side web technologies, to set the standards for how our web applications should be developed.
• Integrate our web applications with other third party reporting system, single-sign on systems, etc.
• Utilize extreme programming software development procedures and practices.
• Gain domain expertise in all aspects of e-commerce payment processing.

Your Experience as a Java Web developer must have included:

• Experience implementing java based web applications, preferably with more than one of the Model 2 frameworks; JSF, Struts, Spring MVC, etc.
• Java / J2EE development expertise.
• Practical problem analysis and solving skills.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience with one or more of the following MVC / Model 2 frameworks such as JSF, Struts, Spring MVC.
• Experience with large range of web application technologies a major plus; JSTL, JSP, EL ( Expression Language ), Grails, Portlets, Ruby on Rails, XML/XSLT, etc.
• Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
• Experience developing & deploying J2EE web applications in one of the following app servers: Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere, Weblogic, Oracle xiAS.
• J2EE development experience; RMI, EJB, JSP, XML.
• Transaction processing experience a plus.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus.
• Linux/Unix command line experience.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional Java programming experience
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Committed to exacting quality standards; extensive unit and integration test experience and be detailed oriented
• Having worked successfully in a close team environment
