Job Description:
We are looking for experienced, motivated,
detail-oriented, and well-rounded Quality Assurance Engineers
capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced agile environment.
As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will apply state-of-the-art
tools in the development of large-scale payment processing systems
with involvement across all phases of the system development
life cycle. Our Engineers must have strong relational database
and SQL experience, so this position is NOT suitable for UI or
application testers.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with development team
to meet quality goals, requirements, and monthly releases
- Review product requirements and technical
specifications for new features and products
Write, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Maintain manual and automated test suites
(smoke, functional, and regression)
- Identify and report defects with sufficient
detail to enable duplication of the defect by developers
- Verify bug fixes and change requests
- Perform integration testing of new features
and products in a production-staging environment prior to deployment
- Conduct performance testing
- Conduct security testing
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience testing
complex, large-scale production systems
- BS/MS in CS or equivalent experience
relevant to Quality Engineering
- Must have strong working knowledge and
experience with testing relational databases and writing SQL
queries
- Must have good scripting skills e.g.,
Perl, UNIX shell script languages
- Must be experienced with Windows, VMWare,
and Linux environments
- Strong problem solving and analytical
skills required
- Must be able to understand complex business
requirements and translate them into testable components
- Must be detail oriented, thorough, and
hands-on
- Must possess strong communication and
interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of CVS, JUnit, Apache Tomcat,
and code coverage concepts and tools preferred
- Familiar with web applications and structured
programming languages such as "C", Java, HTML, XML, Perl, and Eclipse preferred
- Automation experience preferred
- Knowledge of credit card processing
or financial services is highly preferred
- Familiar with iterative systems development
processes preferred
